Welcome to my blog!
I am Tamira. I am a mother, teacher, daughter, and I am working on my second Masters Degree at Indiana University. I am an avid reader and hope that as a school librarian I will be able to encourage students to become life long readers.
A topic of personal interest is homelessness among children. I am currently a middle school math teacher in an Urban District in Kentucky. Throughout my 12 years of teaching I have had numerous children who cannot learn because of lack of food, which can cause sleeping in class, exhaustion, and also make students a subject of bullying. My hope for the future is that all children will be able to have a safe place to sleep and food in their bellies.
